Job Description

The Best Connection are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work for the world’s leading Courier Company. We are looking for an Operations Agent to work from November 2020 until the end of January 2021 on a temporary Ad-hoc basis. Our client is based in Wapping, East London. Their depot is easily accessible by public transport.Responsibilities of the Warehouse operative

  • Will include the unloading and distributing of a variety of items from a container into the warehouse, the items will vary in size so the job can be labour intensive.
  • Manually Loading & Unloading Parcels
  • This will include lifting parcels - can be up to 20kgs - onto conveyer belts
  • Computer literate
  • Scanning the parcels
  • Printing new delivery labels and sorting into destinations or
  • loading and unloading
  • Sorting of parcels in to delivery areas
    • Requirements of the Warehouse operative
  • 5 years’ worth of previous employment / education references THIS IS IMPORTANT
  • To apply for a DBS check THIS IS IMPORTANT
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Good accuracy and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to target.
  • PC literate.
  • Heavy lifting.
    • Hourly pay rates:
  • Monday to Friday Afternoon shift pay £10.65 per hour
    • Shifts:
  • Monday to Friday Start time 12:00 Finish time 21:00
