As a Business Support and Finance Manager, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Central Operations department and provide vital support with day-to-dayaccounting. Your responsibilities will cover various operational aspects, and youll be a key contributor to the efficiency of the Accounting Function.Responsibilities of the Business Operations and Finance Support Manager:• Manage end-to-end client onboarding, contracting, and compliance processes to meet contractual obligations and ensure proper management.• Proactively seek new contract opportunities through relevant tender portals, aligning with the firms interests.• Facilitate the qualification process for new opportunities, adhering to agreed processes and conducting commercial discussions.• Coordinate the development of proposals and tender responses, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely submission.• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business development and client engagement.• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational success.• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction.• Analyse market trends and competition to identify new business opportunities.• Prepare reports and presentations on operational performance and strategies for senior management.• Accurately record financial transactions into accounting software or databases.• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.• Expense Tracking: Monitor and record expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.• Generate and process invoices for clients or customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and presentations for management or external stakeholders.• Budgeting Support: Collaborate with senior accountants or financial managers to assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.Requirements for the Business Operations and Finance Support Manager:• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the education sector or management consultancy.• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.• Proven track record of managing client onboarding, compliance, and contractual obligations.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Knowledge and experience in bid management and researching new bid opportunities.• Accountancy qualification or experience in financial management.• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.• Passion for education and making a positive impact in the field.This position is being managed by Pertemps Newcastle.
