An important part of what we do is assessing how firms handle operational risk and how they respond to and recover from operational incidents when they occur.Job descriptionWere looking to fill a numberof operational risk and resilience (ORR) roles across the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) at Analyst or Senior Analyst level (depending on experience). Previous experience in operational risk and/or resilience is not crucial - the roles are well suitedboth to people with a background in change and outsourcing, data integrity, IT risk, business continuity planning/disaster recovery and those looking to transfer from another sector or specialism. We will also be advertising shortly to fill a number of specialistORR roles.The work youd be doing will give you an outstanding insight into ORR issues across a range of regulated firms and will have a lasting impact on the financial services industry. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of exciting issues - for example,you might deal with an operational incident which has occurred in a firm (e.g. a cyber-attack or IT outage), examine a firms plans to outsource to a new provider or undertake sectoral analysis.The roles include central teams across different areas of thePRA and front-facing supervision roles in banking, insurance and financial market infrastructure (where you may also cover other elements of supervision). Please state any preference as part of your application.Role RequirementsWe are looking for people withthe following attributes: Excellent judgement and analytical skills; with an ability to filter a lot of data (which will be complex in some roles), pull out the relevant information and quickly draw conclusions; Strong collaboration skills, including listeningand compassion, working effectively within a team and co-ordinating with colleagues across the Bank, PRA and regulated firms. Good written and oral communication skills. You should be able to influence and challenge while building and maintaining relationshipswith both internal and external stakeholders; and Outcomes focused and excellent workload management skills. There is theoption to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
