Job Description

Offshore Wind Technical & Commercial Lead - London£competitive (experience & qualifications dependent) + excellent benefits package + long-term career opportunitiesOur Client, a world-leader employing more than 50,000 individuals globally, is looking for an ambitious and experienced professional to head up their Offshore Wind division. With ideally at least 10yrs experience in this sector you will be responsible for;

  • Ensure understanding of the offshore wind market in the UK including clients, competitors, partners, opportunities, business environment, regulation etc.
  • Drive the business replication of selected offshore wind technical solutions across all stages of the asset lifecycle including design and permitting, procurement, construction and operation
  • Support the Business’s offshore wind operation on capability building, organizational development and further enhancement of the offshore wind operating model
  • Plan and deploy strategic business plans
  • Own the opportunity pipeline within the offshore wind market segment in the UK
  • Ensure exceptional customer interaction, as well as key account management with developers, owner-operators, OEMs and financial institutions
  • Plan and deploy marketing campaigns including participation in trade shows and webinars
    • Offshore Wind Technical & Commercial Lead profile;
  • Degree or equivalent level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
  • Recognised industry expert with strong technical and project knowledge combined with 10+yrs experience in the offshore wind sector
  • Significant commercial experience at senior level within a key account management or business management position
  • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities
  • Good understanding of professional services related to offshore wind assets, including Inspection, certification, project, type & component in engineering certification etc
  • Thorough technical knowledge across the whole lifecycle of the offshore wind sector, related industry-best-practices and relevant technical norms and standards
  • Highly customer-centric; a confident communicator with strong ability to set priorities and follow through
  • Hands-on mentality; Team player with collaborative attitude who strives for excellence
