Job Description

Our client an innovative family brand, launching next year are looking for a Nursery Manager to join their team to head up their new nursery space. Their early years learning methodology is an innovative new holistic program that strives to meet the needs and values of children and families today. This role is suitable for an Early Years Manager who has the passion and desire to be part of reinventing Early Years Education. You must be someone who loves working with people and who prides themselves on being able to lead by example, who has a passion for training their team and who would relish the chance to do something different.The successful candidate will:• Be passionate about working with people of all ages and have a natural flair for making people feel happy and at ease, bringing energy and enthusiasm. • Must be interested in creating inspiring and fun work and play environments.• Have the ability to think outside of the box beyond the restrictions of the early years curriculum framework with a can-do attitude and a solution-driven approach to problems.• Have previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years.• Have relevant Early childhood qualifications and have worked in a similar role previously.• Be an up and coming leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a team environment fostering an inspired and dynamic creative Early years team.• Will be interested in facilitating age-appropriate risky play, alternative teaching practices and fostering independence.Nursery Manager responsibilities include:• Promoting high standards of quality within the nursery, and throughout all their upcoming premises.• The implementation of, and development of, new curriculum material, policies, and the training of all-new material to the wider team.• Ensuring that the experiences and resources used to create experiences offered to children are in line with our ethos and approach to Early Years Education.• Ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meet the expectations and requirements of senior management, parents, and children.• Management of the children’s safety, and ensuring the team understand and follow Safeguarding procedures.• Developing positive working relationships with all members of the nursery team, extending to the other department teams and senior management.• Responsible for the effective day to day management of the nursery team, ensuring all members of the team are suitably trained, with all relevant qualifications.• Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the nursery, in accordance with all regulatory bodies.Management Skills:• A hands-on style of management with the team is desirable, with the ability to coach and mentor all educators to ensure we create an environment that will enable the team.• To reach their maximum potential, as well as ensure we create adventurous thinkers in both the team and the children.• The ability to deliver all necessary on the job training to achieve maximum team engagement.• Impeccable management of compliance, health & safety, managing risk and internal policies implementing practices that will drive continual improvement.• The capability to seamlessly manage the logistic of running the nursery day to day (including but not limited to staff- child ratios/ rotas/ observations/ parent comms)• The expertise to create excellent relationships with the children, parents, team and senior managers alike, maintaining effective methods of communication across each category.You’re interested in;• Creating an inspiring and fun work and play environment.• Great design, from interiors to graphics.• Fostering independence with children.• Environmental sustainability.• Working with parents and peers to create a community.• Alternative teaching practices.• Facilitating age-appropriate risky play.What they can offer:-• A competitive salary starting at £45000.• Eligibility in the company performance-related bonus.• Holiday entitlement starting at 25 days plus bank holidays increasing after one year of service to 25 plus bank holidays.• Real career progression, lots of opportunities in a rapidly expanding company.• Great team spirit, events and socials.Tigerlily Recruitment want to help you to make the right choice in your next career move.
