The role Funding Circle is looking for a contractor to work with our Customer Analytics team on our valuations infrastructure for a Line of Credit product. What will you be doing

• Assess the current valuations framework used for a line of credit product against current and future business requirements
• Recommend approach based on existing models and monitoring framework or alternatives possible given Funding Circles analytics platform available
• Align and agree on approach with senior management and implement the solution including:
• Update of NPV model (horizontal valuations - based on month on book inputs for life time value at product/segment/blended levels) including documentation and model validation
• Update of P&L input model (vertical aggregation - portfolio calendar month output) including documentation and independent model validation
• Work with Data engineering to implement any data modelling changes required
• Build automated performance monitoring framework vs actual data including cohort PV/NPV actualization
• Hand over all products back to Funding Circle analytics teams with capability to update and maintain all aspects of framework
• Models need to be of reasonable file size and with commonly understood formulae
• Any VBA needs to be clearly documented and commented in code
• Document models and processes required to run monitoring updates
• Independent model validation completed (critical to project completion)

What were looking for

• Extensive experience of financial modelling of Credit card, Line of Credit or similar products in Banking or specialised consultancy
• Good knowledge of NPV valuations theory including monitoring best practices
• High proficiency in Excel including VBA
• Experience of working on AWS data lake technology and Tableau
• Experience of writing model documentation of standard for independent validation review
• Strong communication skills to work with technical and non-technical senior management
