Job Description

Networking Technical Consultant (Delivery)London/RemoteUp to £65k + Benefits + £10k bonus Penguin Recruitment are working with a large IT Solutions and Services provider in the City. The organisation have experienced phenomenal year on year growth over the last decade and now turn over in excess of £500m.The role of Technical Consultant is to consult, design, plan and implement complex technical projects, working closely with the Principal Technical Consultants and other technical teams. The Technical Consultant will also support the Sales and Solutions teams to provide the technical expertise required to close sales opportunities and propose plans to better serve customers. This will typically involve technical presentations, solution demonstrations, solution design/configuration, proposals, bid response documentation, Statement of Work creation, HLD and LLD documentation.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation of technical documentation - HLDs, LLDs, BoM, SoW
  • Technical lead during the execution phase of delivery projects.
  • Liaising with customers to derive detailed requirements and system configurations.
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Technical Architects to ensure the successful delivery of solution, on time and to a consistent quality.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in your technical discipline.
  • Working on customer sites or datacentres during the delivery of IT projects.
  • Ensuring IT solutions are accepted into support through provision of knowledge transfer sessions, documentation, and post-implementation support.
  • Pioneer the development of repeatable design patterns
    • Requirements:
  • Experience in a Technical Consultant / Delivery focussed role
  • Technically lead from the front
  • Proven track record and exposure with design, implementation & troubleshooting:
  • Cisco SDA, DNAC, ISE and Wireless
  • Catalyst Family range Switches
  • HPE Networking & Switching
  • Aruba and Cisco Wireless.
  • Security exposure to Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet and Checkpoint
  • Demonstrable experience in Cloud Security
  • Thorough understanding in SD-WAN
    • Essential (3 of 4 minimum):
  • CCNP Enterprise plus one other CCNP Track (preferably Wireless or Security)
  • Fortinet NSE4 or greater
  • Palo Alto PCNSE or greater
    • Desirable:
  • VMware VCP-NV (2020) or greater
  • Checkpoint CCSE R80.x
  • AWS and/or Azure accreditations
  • Arista accreditations
