Job Description

Network Security ArchitectAdvantage Resourcing assisting a client based in the City of London in the recruitment of a Network Security Architect on a permanent basis. (Flexible working).This is an opportunity to work with a prestigious, global organisation who have a number of highly technical upcoming projects including the setting up of new Data Centres in global offices, redesigning a Data Centre in the London office and the upgradingof Firewalls across EMEA among a number of others.This is a position well suited to an Architect looking for their next challenge or a highly skilled, senior Engineer who is looking to take a step in to Architecture who has worked in very heavily regulated industries (Legal, Financial, Banking etc).Key Skills as Network Security Architect

  • Firewalls (suitability, delivery, configuration and techniques etc)
  • LANs/WANs (including VPN, wireless etc)
  • Routers/Switches, Network protocols
  • URL filtering (proxies)
  • Email Security, End-Point Security and Application Control
  • Knowledge of Information Security policies, procedures, standards and best practice
Desirable Skills as Network Security Architect
  • F5 load balancers
  • Cisco routers, operating systems and firewalls
  • Checkpoint firewalls
Key Responsibilities as Network Security Architect
  • Getting deeply involved in Networking aspects (managing routers, switches, firewalls etc)
  • Developing requirements for firewalls and related network devices
  • Reviewing, researching, planning, and designing security architectures
  • Providing support for F5 load balancers
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintaining of security policies and procedures
  • Performing vulnerability testing and security assessments
  • Responding to security related incidents
  • Delivering both security related and any other projects/solutions in cost effective ways
  • Researching security systems and authentication protocols
  • Reviewing and approving the installation of security solutions
  • Delivering security awareness programs
  • Managing system upgrades and providing advice, guidance and support as necessary
