Job Description

Day Rate | Outside IR35 | to £350 per dayFully Remote | 6 month contract | June startTechnically competent and self sufficient Network Infrastructure Engineer required for a mid-senior level Engineering role. Mixture of c.60% BAU and 40% projects; they need someone with the drive to deliver new technology where needed and make an input intosolutions, contribute to lifecycle management and technology roadmap and support projects from an implementation planning, proposal and delivery point of view.More about the role:

  • Particular focus on supporting :
  • Fortinet Security Portfolio - Forti - Manager, Forti - Analyzer
  • More broadly BAU and troubleshooting across Networking, Routing, Switches, (Dell or Cisco), and Wireless.
  • F5 BIG IP or other Load Balancing experience highly desirable.
  • Produce quality documentation and support knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and setting technical direction for the department.
  • Input into infrastructure and networking technology roadmap.
  • Project planning and documentation including proposals - needing excellent HLD/LLD design documentation skills.
  • Peer review documentation within the team
  • Attend Change Management meetings to present proposed changes

  • A strong work ethic.
  • Flexible; comfortable taking on new technology and giving things a go, even if not your area of expertise.
  • A team player, will promote knowledge sharing and team improvement.
Technical Skills:
  • Solid Networking, Routing, Switching experience across Dell or Cisco products.
  • Fortinet Security Portfolio incl. Forti - Manager, Forti - Analyzer.
  • F5 BIG IP or other load balancing experience highly desirable.
Desirable:
  • Expertise with general firewall, Switches and AP configuration and support, including IPsec VPN configuration and troubleshooting
  • Strong experience in network traffic monitoring, analysis, packet capture, and troubleshooting
