Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The position entials varied tasks including settlements and logistics operations across Metals.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute and oversee the end-to-end settlement process for metals transactions, including trade confirmation, matching, reconciliation, and settlement instructions.
  • Invoicing where required and agreeing netting with clients and releasing the cash
  • Liaise with internal teams, external clients, brokers, and custodians to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to settlements.
  • Monitor and manage the entire settlement life cycle, ensuring adherence to deadlines, regulatory requirements, and market practices.
  • Collaborate closely with trading desks, sales teams, and other stakeholders to provide operational support and address settlement-related queries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external counterparties, custodians, and clearing agents to facilitate smooth settlements and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to metals settlements operations, and implement necessary changes or enhancements to existing processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of settlements processes to identify and address any control gaps or operational risks.
Skills:
  • Precious or Base Metals settlement experience
  • Coding skills advantageous (Macro, Python, Alteryx etc.)
