Job Description

Im working with a multinational commodities trading company who are looking to bring on an accomplished Project Manager to deliver strategic technology and business change initiatives across their metals business.This person will:

  • Lead project initiation, planning, design, and mobilization activities
  • Create project plans with clearly defined milestones, budgets, resource allocation
  • Monitor progress, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage requirements gathering, facilitate working groups, drive deliverables
  • Chair project meetings, manage RAID logs, report status to stakeholders
  • Oversee vendor and contract management, procurement activities
  • Ensure quality governance, monitoring, and project transparency
Skills Required:
  • Several years project management experience in capital markets or commodities trading
  • Expert leading software implementations in trading environments
  • Significant exposure to the Front-to-Back trade lifecycle, with demonstrable knowledge of OTC/ETD instruments (Over the Counter/Exchange Traded Derivatives)
  • Experience of integrating in house systems/platforms with external vendors
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Proactive self-starter comfortable in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Prince2, PMP, or equivalent certification preferred
Desirable:
  • Commodities - Base Metals (including the London Metal Exchange)/Precious Metals Trading life cycle (front to back)
  • Vendor system implementation/changes and working with third party vendors
  • Experience of an ETRM systems such as Openlink
  • MS Project & MS Power Point/Visio
