Job Description

We are delighted to be working with a leading global federation with an exciting strategy which places sustainability and communication at the heart of their membership journey. Due to recent growth, the membership team are seeking a fantastic communicatorand relationship builder to engage with, and develop, a specific sector of their membership base. Based in bright, open plan offices in the West End with a hybrid model of working, the team have a collaborative culture marked by transparency and inclusivity.Why do we need youThis is a key role in supporting members, with a focus on engagement, retention, and recruitment. This role will work alongside the Head of Membership to review member services, ensuring they are meeting members needs to help companies across the sectorgrow and thrive. The role will recruit and retain members across the depth and diversity of the food and drink sector.What will your responsibilities be

  • Deliver excellent customer service to ensure that the organisationunderstands and isin touch with the needs of its members.
  • Providing high quality account management for members and providing a point of contact
  • Maintain and update member and prospect member records on the CRM, ensuring data quality and accuracy
  • Work to ensure members are aware of all services and grow interactions/sign ups, from committees, through to events.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure member offer is clearly visible through the website, other associated channels and events/meetings
  • Assist with driving membership retention and recruitment, increasing engagement, actively promoting membership and services and overseeing new member onboarding
  • Work with Head of Membership to proactively develop and manage prospects and target lists to meet new member income targets.
  • Writing tailored recruitment communications and develop and run membership join campaigns
  • Assist with writing focused, impactful and targeted member communications across various platforms including email, website etc
  • Attend meetings with members and prospects, representing and promoting the value of membership
  • Interrogate and analyse member and prospect data on the CRM, building reports and searches
  • Help produce member reports to analyse member engagement, recruitment activity, marketing campaigns etc
  • Assist with annual member surveys as well as active outreach to members to gauge feedback on particular issues
  • Work with the Strategic Communication and Membership Team to review and develop communications to members, prospects and stakeholders.
  • To assist in the member renewals process, working closely with the finance team
  • Contribute to internal quarterly Membership Action Group meetings
  • Support the delivery and attend member events and meetings where required
  • Keep up to date with the latest food and drink industry news and issues for members.
What skills and experience will you need to be successful in your new role Membership experience in a trade association or similar organisation Experience of database management and email marketing systems e.g. Mailchimp Skills/ KnowledgeA strong communicator, both verbal and written with the ability to write concise, engaging material for specific audiencesExcellent inter-personal skills with the ability to sustain a range of working relationships and work together as a teamKnowledge of the food and drink industry is desirableExcellent customer service skills in a business-to-business environmentSelf-motivated with an ability to multi-task and a strong work ethicConfident networker and speakerThis is a varied and challenging role at the heart of a bright and innovative membership team who are working with their members to create a more sustainable and agile sector.
