Job Description

We are looking for a Membership Administrator to join a nationwide society, targeting members 50+ years old, with the aim to help develop friendships, socialise, and have fun. Your work in this branch of the society will be extremely valuable, enriching, and rewarding.Location: Hybrid (1-2 days WFH), Office in HammersmithHours: Flexible start and finish (9/10am until 4/5pm), 30 hours per week excluding lunchtimeDuration: Permanent, with 3-month probation periodSalary: £25,000 - £30,000Benefits: Compensated training (and travel/accommodation fees associated with it), free society membership (and benefits associated with it), discounted events, dental and optical discounts, 28-day annual leave + bank holidays and Christmas-New Year break,annual conference with complementary travel and accommodationStart date: ASAPAbout the roleThe Membership Administrator role requires you to be the main point of contact for members regarding care and welfare matters, acting as a care coordinator and an administrator for the business. You will be reporting to the Secretary Administrator, workingclosely with the Social Events Manager as a small team of 3.Key tasks and responsibilitiesIn the role of Membership Administrator, you will:Respond to member queries and make and maintain regular contact with those who may require care and welfare support, by phone, letter, email, home visit or branch group/activityUse active listening skills to support members and help them identify options to resolve problems and improve their health and wellbeingProvide information and support to access help through organisation services and benefits or through external agenciesAssist with any other general administration where necessaryTo be successful for the role of Membership Administrator, you will have/be:Excellent interpersonal skillsEnjoy meeting new peopleAble to deal with moneyA proven ability to work to deadlines without supervisionStrong organisational skillsSome customer care knowledgeResourceful and able to overcome challengesWilling to work with a range of people with different backgrounds and social circumstances.Able to comfortably work independently, as there will be times you will be the only person in the officeThis role will require an Enhanced DBS check. We will be happy to discuss paying for this for successful candidates.
