Pay: Kent Range 4 Teaching Assistant required fromSeptember 2021. We are looking for an experiencedand capable Teaching Assistant, who can take on the role of supporting a groupof four children with physical needs, who will be in Year 2 in September. Thechildrenneed a level of intimate care (catheterisation and nappy changing) andfeeding care (PEG feeding). A willingness to take charge of all these careneeds but also to support them in class with their learning is essential. Youwill initially be based in our Year1/2 mixed age class. An understanding ofthe learning expectations of the children as they progress through the schoolinto KS2 is desirable. The applicant should have Englishand Maths GCSEs or equivalent, as a minimum, and have good verbal and writtenskills.Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential. The person will be required towork Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 3.20pm term time only, in this role, with a 25minute lunch break. As part of the schools commitmentto childrens safeguarding and safer recruitmentpractices, the appointee willbe subject to a full DBS check. We can offer a supportive team ofstaff, and further training as necessary. The school is committed to developingits staff.
