Job Description

The postholder will provide human support to BBC disabled staff in London. By providing great support, the postholder willhelp enable talent to thrive in the BBC.The position is within our Workplace Adjustment Programmes, a growing part of the business focused on removing barriers for disabled people in the workplace. Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of human support to BBC disabled staff and contributors to enable them to fulfil their job requirements without barriers. This includes guiding blind service users, reading support, audio description, use of various software packages, taking notes,use of office equipment, support for users when travelling using BBC transport and public transport.
  • Logging of the support using our Content Management System (CMS) system.
  • Ensuring that all SLAs are met in relation to the support work provided.
  • Providing excellent customer service and highlighting challenges and potential solutions to the line manager.
  • Working with a specified list of suppliers to book, confirm and arrange other human support requirements.
  • Sharing knowledge with other support workers.
  • Helping get forms completed by our customers to ensure that funding is recompensed from the governments Access to Work scheme.
  • Support with other business functions in line with service delivery.

  • Experience of using Email / tasks and diary management - i.e.: Office 365
  • Experience of using media products and applications, and visual packages such as Photoshop
  • Experience of working to measurable targets and deadlines
  • Team player who is also able to work un-supervised
  • Adaptable & flexible in different working environments/situations
