The ideal candidate will have a personality that brings out the best in people and an unflinching ambition to teach. You will be a graduate who can display your accurate knowledge of the curriculum and utilise this understanding in lessons.About the Maths Specialist Academic Mentor Role:This Maths Specialist Academic Mentor position involves joining the department that most closely matches your qualifications. You will help the teacher plan a variety of lessons, making each one fun and engaging whilst ensuring that it is accessible for pupils of all abilities. As you provide support to where it is needed most you will start to develop your own teaching talents and build your knowledge base for your future career. Part of your role will include pairing up with a talented established class teacher who will mentor and advise you for the whole of the academic year. You will be achieving your professional and personal goals with the help of a supportive CPD programme and an inspirational Head of Maths. You will take charge of one to one and group sessions outside of class and pupils enjoy learning in this department due to its impressive resources.
