Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join a fantastic SEN school in South West London, in the Wimbledon area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with students with ASD, ADHD and other learning difficulties.This school caters for children with a primary diagnosis of autism, aged 7-16 and have a completely adapted environment and curriculum designed to meet the needs of individuals. Most of the students are verbal and many complete GCSEs in later Key Stages.They are now looking for an enthusiastic Maths teacher to come and join the team, teaching Maths from KS2-KS4. You will be;Responsibilities:

  • Teaching the maths curriculum across KS2-4
  • Designing and delivering engaging, adapted classes covering core topics
  • Monitoring pupil progress and reporting this effectively to SLT/parents/carers
  • Maintaining a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all pupils
  • Working as part of the larger team to provide excellent education
Requirements:
  • Strong experience teaching Maths at KS2-4 level
  • Relevant experience working with students with ASD, ADHD and other learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organised and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • QTS is desirable but not essential
