Were proud to accelerate growth for tech and life science businesses, create meaningful connections and open a world of global opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors alike.The RoleThe HSBC Innovation Banking UK Marketing team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Marketing Communications Manager to support our Sales team to enable client engagement and support our ambitious growth plans.This is a pivotal marketing role which will support Relationship Banking through the development and co-creation of integrated marketing campaigns, communications, content and collateral to support demand generation, lead generation, prospecting and conversionof prospects into new clients.Responsibilities:In this role, the Marketing Communications Associate will be responsible for:

  • Driving internal and external awareness, understanding and enablement of our key value propositions through close engagement with Relationship Banking.
  • Influencing the tactical and strategic and transformational direction of the EMEA marketing function.
  • Collaborating with Brand to coordinate demand generation activities which will drive increased awareness and consideration.
  • Planning, creating and executing marketing campaigns to generate demand, and capture new leads in the open market. To this end, the ability to join the dots through understanding of brand awareness, consideration, lead generation and conversion activitiesis key.
  • Working closely with Relationship Banking to lead their go-to-market and external communications plan including the development of pitch books to support new business development.
  • Coordinating with Content and Events/Sponsorships to ensure demand generation campaigns are multi-channel and fully integrated.
  • Working closely with Marketing Operations to delivery campaigns to capture, measure and monitor new leads.
  • Contributing to Marketing process improvements by implementing methods, procedures and platforms to increase efficiency and scale.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of all demand generation and sales enablement activities, including the tracking, reporting and measurement against key metrics to assess impact.
Requirements:To be successful in your application, youll have:
  • Outstanding copywriting and verbal communication skills in a B2B environment
  • Expertise in planning, developing and delivering excellent integrated marketing campaigns, content, collateral and communications.
  • Experience in developing materials such as pitch books, to help Relationship Bankers convert prospects into new clients and/or win new banking mandates.
  • Good knowledge of both the innovation economy and banking propositions with an ability to translate into client-centric language.
  • Experience in delivering communications through digital channels including web, marketing automation platforms, etc.
  • Experience in pipeline management including the tracking and measuring of new leads from interest to conversion.
  • Experience in developing materials such as pitch books, to help Relationship Bankers convert prospects into new clients and/or win new banking mandates.
  • A passion for working in a fast paced, execution-oriented, ‘scale-up’ environment.
  • Excellent project management and organisation skills to effectively multiple, concurrent, initiatives.
  • Ability to work across a wide set of stakeholders to both understand and influence.
  • Strong work ethic with passion for delivery and ability to ‘get things done’.
