Our client, one of the UKs leading public research universities, is currently looking to recruit a Market Research and Insight Manager to provide expertise in market research and intelligence as well as manage this strand of marketing activity. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract. As their Market Research and Insight Manager, you will manage, deliver and communicate high quality primary and secondary research to underpin and direct the strategic planning of the student recruitment and marketing activities. Working across a portfolio of professional services you will inform strategic decisions such as market positioning, fee & entry requirement setting and portfolio development. To achieve this, youll proactively understand insight/analysis needs, according to annual recruitment cycles, and changes in the external landscape, along with managing and conducting end-to-end market research and analysis of statistics, trends, strengths/weaknesses and opportunities. Finally, you will prepare, write and publish the market intelligence documents, whilst using research and data analysis to inform the development of the Universities marketing and recruitment strategies. In order to be considered, you will have worked within a similar post within higher education that enabled insight into policy changes, which may impact on student recruitment, combined with demonstrating significant knowledge of research, evaluation and statistical methods. This is a meticulous position for the university, and as such, the ability to manage and work with large and complex databases to extract relevant information is essential, as is previous experience of higher education statistics such as HESA and UCAS. A high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel is essential as is substantial understanding of market research techniques. Ideally you will need to have no more than one months notice, to be considered for this post due to the timeframes required.The post will be remote working, until they return to the office, which is waiting to be confirmed.
