Role/ Department: Northern Trust provides their clients with comprehensive Investment Operations Outsourcing middle office solutions covering the full universe of: Trade services; asset services; client reporting; performance measurement; derivatives operations and collateralmanagement. This role sits within the Investment Operations Outsourcing (IOO) Market Operations Oversight Team in London and the partner will be primarily responsible for the oversight and service relationship of IOO Component clients who take services supported by theIOO Market Operations teams. The IOO Market Operations Oversight team partner will be responsible for oversight of functions conducted in offshore regions, working with brokers and clients where necessary to resolve issues. The IOO Market Operations Oversight team partner is also responsible for the services being provided to IOO clients, which would include but not be limited to attending or hosting client review meetings and analysis of the operational teams performance versusclient KPIs including same day confirmation rates and STP rates. Identifying process improvements; working on and implementing remediation plans with key business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of the Role include:

• Oversight of the offshore Market Operations teams and ensuring that all service deliverables are met.
• Gain a complete understanding of clients business, objectives, goals, and market challenges.
• Monitor the service closely to pre-empt upcoming service issues causing client escalations and ensure senior management are aware.
• Conduct analytical reviews of trade performance stats; confirmations; fails and STP rates with a view to identifying performance themes and sub-optimal processes.
• Working closely with Client Service Managers, Relationship Managers, Change Management, Operations Teams and Product, globally, to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Actively manage escalated trade related issues representing a financial or reputational risk to NT and track to resolution with the client and key business stakeholders.
• Produce the relevant documentation and facilitate client meetings including leading client service reviews and other regular meetings ensuring actions are captured and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and maintain client contact lists.
• Assist in the production of accurate and timely management reporting.
• Assist other members of the Market Operations Team for holiday and sickness cover as and when required.
• Provide support to the offshore teams when required, including the enaction of BCP scenarios.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of interest claims issued or received for allocated clients where applicable

Skills/Qualifications: The successful candidate will benefit from having;

• Microsoft Office - Excel; Visio and PowerBI
• Experience working within market operations, either asset manager or outsourced environment based
• IOC qualified (preferable)
• Previous Client Service experience (preferable)
• FCA Principles
• Knowledge of Fixed Income; Equities; Emerging Market transaction practices
• Knowledge of tradable instrument types - Bonds; Equities; FFX; Repos; Cash Instruments; Unit Trusts
• Understands the trade lifecycle from execution through to settlement
• Experience of Market Systems - CTM; ALERT; MISYS (Finastra); CLS; Bloomberg; Failstation
• NT Systems (if applicable) - WTS (Web Trade Services); Fundmaster
