Job Description

Our investment banking client has been present in the UK for more than 150 years, theyre a long-term partner to British business. In so doing, they seek to make a positive, sustainable contribution to both the UK economy and society.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a OneTick Developer/Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a 50/50 hybrid basis with offices in London Marylebone.Purpose of the Role:Our client are about to embark on a large project to onboard various Front Office analytics solutions to a new OneTick platform. This will involve significant Front Office engagement alongside coding in C++ and Java. While this is an initial 6 month contractthis is a large project with great scope for extension.Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist with the on-boarding of various front office analytics solutions to OneTick, creating OneTick queries (OTQ) and OneTick Dashboards to meet functional requirements.
  • Support the creation of custom C++ & Python UDF (User Defined Functions) as needed.
  • Interpret Front Office trader/Quantitative developer requirements into robust technological solutions.
  • Share skills and technical expertise with other team members.
  • Enhance continuous integration and performance testing frameworks.
  • Enhance/bug fix existing software and provide new functionality as requested by the business or internal IT teams.
  • Manage general software issues relating to data integrity, system performance, functional architecture and testing frameworks etc.
  • Produce high quality code with supporting commentary and system documentation.
  • Ensure all development adheres to the defined architectural and development standards (TDD etc.)
  • Conduct peer/code reviews.
  • Provide 3rd line support as required.
What we require from the candidate:
  • OneTick tick analytics platform experience OR experience with a comparable platform (e.g: KDB).
  • Strong modern C++ skills on Windows and Linux.
  • Strong Java skills.
  • Experience of working with and supporting quantitative developers/front office traders
  • Python or C# skills (desirable).
  • Experience of Dev-Ops tools such as BitBucket, Jenkins, TeamCity, Ancible, Sonar (desirable).
