The Role: Market Data Analyst The Data Management Team deliver investment data services for M&G plc, our customers and the regulators. The Market Data Services team plays a key role in helping to deliver this. Market Data Services team services the businesses market data requirements globally in a cost efficient manner. We currently oversee a multi-million pound budget for market data services. This includes some of the biggest names in the industry for sourcing reference data, pricing, benchmarks, research data and other specialist data requirements. We ensure that we work strategically with our top vendors and ensure that we are utilising existing services that we take, whilst staying compliant with the contract. Against a backdrop of significant transformation, the Market Data Services Team are looking to recruit an individual who can help the deliver the market data strategy. The candidate will represent and lead market data conversations within strategic projects such as ESG and data transformation, whilst interfacing with key senior stakeholders. In addition to this they will manage vendor relationships, build partnerships and lead on negotiations on multi-million pound contracts. The candidate must be able to adapt to a faced paced changing environment. Having good stake holder management, influencing, collaboration and organisation skills will be key. Help deliver the Market Data Strategy ensuring that it aligns with the Investment Data Management strategy. Collect and verify data from appropriate sources to ensure the agreed Market Data Services objectives and targets are being delivered such as reducing the overall market data budget, ensuring existing services are being utilised efficiently and that we remain complaint to the T&Cs of our contracts. Represent market data and work with various teams to help deliver key strategic projects. Understand and help deliver new market data requirements that come from the business. Manage vendor relationships and build partnerships with key strategic vendors ensuring that they understand and help deliver on the key objectives for M&G. Working in conjunction with procurement lead vendor negotiations. Support the implementation of controls and procedures throughout the Market Data Services Team. Proactively realise opportunities for improvements driving change across Market Data Services. Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience: A strong track record of managing stakeholders from across multiple business areas and seniorities. Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills. Strong collaboration experience, with the ability to inspire, support, influence and lead others. Must have strong organization skills, as well as have the ability to prioritise workload. Excellent written and communication skills, undertaking presentations and chairing meetings. Demonstrates passion, proactivity and enthusiasm and wants to learn and make a real difference. Understanding of market data inventory systems such as (e.g. FITS, MDSL, Informatch), best practices and processes including knowledge of market data vendor landscape such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, IHSMarkit, Factset, Credit rating agencies, ESG and benchmark providers (FTSE, MSCI).
