Job Description

City Elite Recruitment are seeking a Market Analyst for a Global Trading and Shipping firm based in their London office.This position is well-suited for an individual with a background in analysing both macro and microeconomic data, with a specific emphasis on diverse marine shipping markets. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, writing, data analysis,and organizational skills.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with credit analysts in London and Singapore to formulate the companys perspectives on shipping/commodity market trends and macroeconomics, crafting concise opinion pieces distributed throughout the organization. Responsibilities include dataentry for commodity market information and basic trend analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of reports for ongoing reference during risk analysis and preparation for customer meetings or other stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide regular updates to the Customer Credit Analysis team on critical market developments that could impact specific sectors.
  • Contribute to both external and internal presentations led by senior analysts by preparing data and creating PowerPoint slides.
  • Support Business Development initiatives by identifying potential business opportunities through analysis.
  • Aid in the companys marketing strategy by generating publishable content.
Experience:
  • Possess a Masters degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Business, or Science.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset, solid numerical skills, and meticulous attention to detail; capable of analysing and interpreting intricate information, processing data, and delivering credible insights.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish, expand, and sustain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Essential fluency in both written and spoken English, with proficiency in an additional language considered desirable.
  • High computer literacy, including mastery of the MS Office package, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable practical knowledge of Power BI.
