  • Assist and support sales effectively and efficiently to deliver multi-product financial markets services to clients.
  • Heavily involved in data consolidation and analysis, preparing for presentations and various reporting cross departments and to management.
  • Handle the operational work and administration work related to the financial markets sales business.
  • The role will not be involved in trading.
  • Working with the team to achieve the Banks strategy and sales target
  • Ensuring all operational work is complying with the Banks Guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of daily transaction and keeping records. Ensure all transactions are processed within time frame in Murex/XPAD/QE complying with rules and policies
  • Collecting and preparing the daily market information or report to distribute to customers, providing professional support for sales.
  • Preparing high quality presentations to customers as well as for internal use when require
  • Collecting and preparing the information for performance analysis and reporting as required by HOD
  • Using initiative to ensure that processes are smooth and efficiencies are identified
  • Develop familiarity with Head Office Products and Mandates to support the smooth running of the department
  • Use data base on a regular basis for any use when required by sales or HOD. This includes client information and trades information, FTP saving etc.
  • Cross-department data reconciliation and discussion with Middle office, Financial Management Department, Head Office and so on.
  • Proactively improve the working process and procedures to improve the efficiency and productivity
  • Taking personal responsibility for self development through appropriate information sources, on the job learning, coaching from Head of Desk, as well as partaking in all learning and development programs
  • Handling departmental administrative tasks
  • Involvement in departmental and cross departmental projects from time to time including internal and external liaison as required.
The Skills Youll Need to Succeed:
  • Banking/Finance degree or Strong academic background or relevant professional qualification as required i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams or Exemptions.
  • Team player, diligent worker, good communicator and willing to assist team members proactively
  • Fluent English & Mandarin language skills essential - both oral and written.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with market data sources and, if possible, knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.
  • Intellectually curious with new business and strong problem solving skills
  • High level of organisation skills, efficiency and ability to multi-task under pressure
