Job Description

Join the Close Brothers Prudential Risk Team where you will supportthe Head of Risk Operations and Governance and the Head of Prudential Regulation in managing the delivery of a range of key risk and regulatory projects and initiatives.Working as part of the Risk Operations &Governance and Prudential Risk teams,our ideal team member will have previous experience in an Operational Risk environmentwith excellent analytical skills.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Head of Risk Operations & Governance and the Head of Prudential Regulation in providing oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the firms policies, procedures, standards and SLAs
  • Manage the completion of the ICAAP, leading the annual exercise with relevant section owners through working groups and senior engagement to ensure timely and effective delivery and organisation of the Pillar 2a and Risk Management sections, in additionto wider holistic review of proposed capital levels to ensure this is justifiable to senior stakeholders and regulators
  • Support delivery and embedding of the group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Monitoring and reporting of emerging risks at all levels of the organisation, contributing to specialist projects and initiatives launched in response to material external developments
  • Engage with any new regulatory initiatives and developments, collaborating with other teams and senior stakeholders (across both first and second lines of defence) as appropriate to manage associated impacts
  • Oversee business and group-level risk appetite trends, aiding the identification of key risk issues and delivering high quality solutions through engagement with relevant function and business leads

You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal developmentand provide support through regular feedback.WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • You have strong organisational mindset with an aptitude for effectively multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • You have strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and an interest in investigating issues and developing solutions
  • You have strong reporting experience, including an ability to condense information, develop reports and formats as required and produce ad-hoc analyses
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in liaising with senior management
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have experience within a sustainability or risk team managing the financial impacts of climate change
  • Have practical experience in any of the following areas: Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Asset & Liability Management, Traded Market Risk
