If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us. Your role The Data & Analytics Delivery team sits within our Analytics and Cognitive consulting group. Our practitioners work on challenging projects with leading FTSE 100 clients across strategy, advisory and implementation. Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a Manager will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset but could include and may require you to: • Lead a team to design and deliver a data solution such as an ETL components, data lake, data warehouse, and reporting solutions, data migration or data virtualisation solutions • Advise clients on appropriate tooling for a particular solution based on your expertise in specific technologies • Manage relationships with key client stakeholders and lead client workshops to capture business or technical requirements for a data solution • Provide specialist industry knowledge in the data & analytics domain to our clients and further our offering in new and innovative technologies or applications of technologies • Perform the role of Scrum master in an agile delivery or manage large-scale project implementations • Take responsibility for all aspects of project management, and quality of client deliverables • Lead content development for client bids and contribute to presentations of proposals • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution, bring your own perspective, skills and experience to develop your team • Mentor and lead junior resources within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution helping them grow their career in Deloitte. • Develop and grow the Delivery practice by contributing to recruitment, talent development, managing relationships with vendors, shaping and leading learning offerings and industry / technology propositions, contributing to the general running of the practice and actively participating in community events to share knowledge and nurture positive and collaborative relationships within the practice. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully; there may be some opportunity for working from home depending on client and project demands. Your professional experienceCandidates will have hands on experience with one or more technologies relevant to these areas: • Data Integration (including ETL / ELT) • Data Migration • Master Data Management • Data Warehousing • Data Virtualisation • Big Data Engineering • Business and Data Analysis • Data Programme Delivery • Data Governance • Data Cataloguing • Data Quality We are specifically looking for candidates with both technical and business focused skills, who can articulate the outcomes and value of their work, and have 6+ years of relevant working experience across some of the following: • Demonstrable experience of managing / leading different data projects, using variety of tools and technologies: e.g. o ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend or Pentaho o Data governance and data management tools such as Informatica MDM, Informatica AXON, Informatica EDC, and Collibra o Databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases o Languages such as Spark or Python • Knowledge of popular cloud platforms for such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud and distributed processing technologies such as Hadoop • Strong experience in Agile and/or DevOps for software development & IT operations and knowledge of SDLC • Experience of Data Platform Modernisation (e.g. transitioning data workflows from legacy to next generation data platforms) • Experience in release management and implementation into production • Proven experience managing teams across multiple locations both within the UK and overseas, and in an onshore/offshore delivery model, taking responsibility for the team and project deliverables • Experience of stakeholder management and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams • Competent use of Microsoft packages, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel • Strong written, communication and presentation skills Your service line: Consulting Our people and the way we work are the two things that set us apart in the consulting universe.
