What will you be doing Working with the business stakeholders to understand and document their Management Information requirements, challenging the status quo of legacy reporting processes Ensuring data is ingested onto the Barclays Global Data Platform in a sustainable, pragmatic and re-usable way and in accordance with Data Governance Standards Working well without supervision, either individually or as part of a team Delivering solutions right first time that are fit for purpose, on time and within budget Clearly articulate business requirements in the form of design specifications and work with third-party and cross-functional technical teams to realise the solution Undertake active knowledge transfer to other team members, colleagues and business contacts Reviewing, redeveloping and enhancing existing MI systems and solutions to improve usability and effectiveness What were looking for: Expertise in solutions/ configuration to support ingestion, transformation and presentation of complex data sources into meaningful reports Knowledge of ETL and Reporting tools, such as Ab Initio, Hadoop, Alteryx, Tableau and QlikView would be of benefit, though not entirely essential Ability to resolve issues of a complex or strategic nature involving areas within and outside of Functions and the immediate business areas supported Planning and issues resolution; ability to think issues through logically and identify appropriate resolutions, with future thinking Skills that will help you in the role: Significant experience of data design and modelling Working with regulatory milestones Excellent analytical and documentation skills, as well as Risk and Issue management techniques and experience Ability to influence teams to work collaboratively to identify solutions and produce/ articulate summary to drive decision making Where will you be working Weve been in Scotland for 250 years, and Scotlands significance to Barclays has never been as important as it is today.
