Job Description

Management Accountant Luxury Retail Brand £55,000 - £60,000 DOE + bonus & benefits Hybrid working (3 days pw London office / 2 wfh)Job PurposeSupporting the Group Financial Controller in shaping and implementing robust financial and management reporting processes, instilling best practice, developing financial systems and controls within the business to bring efficiency, control and consistencyof reporting. Preparing and delivering timely management information. An integral part of this role will be to support the Finance Team to ensure accuracy of transactional data - and to identify training and development needs.Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the month end process, including journal preparation and posting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review financial systems and controls with a key focus on increasing the efficiency of the financial processes
  • Assist in the improvement of financial reporting and analysis for all parts of the business
  • Preparation of monthly financial results and KPIs
  • Ensure financial and audit requirements are met
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and other regulatory requirements as required
  • Support the FC in maintaining and strengthening internal controls via development and documentation of business processes and financial policies
  • Provide support and guidance to members of the finance team and overseeing team capacity and capability
  • Support the FC in other ad-hoc projects/business needs as and when necessary
About You:
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified accountant
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively lead a team
  • Driven and ambitious individual
  • Strong communicator, with the ability and develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
