Job Description

Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with an established retailer in recruiting a temporary Management Accountant. Based fully at their City of London HQ you will be working as part of a team of 15 in completing start to finish managementaccounts.Main Duties

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
  • Measuring the companys financial performance based on financial records
  • Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
  • Supervising the internal accounting team
  • Performing audits of departments within the organisation
  • Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll
  • Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
Requirements and skills
  • Proven experience as management accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
  • Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
  • Analytical mind with aptitude in math
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A problem-solver with attention to detail
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CIMA OR ACCA) will be preferred
