Job Description

Management Accountant | Leisure | 12 month contract| Up to £55,000 per annum| Central London (hybrid working)A Management Accountant is required to work for a fast growth, SME Leisure business based in London (Zone 1) on a 12 month FTC. This is an opportunity to work for a well-known brand which is continuously evolving and growing; they are in the process of openingnew sites. This role is hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.You will be working as the number 2 to the Financial Controller and working in a direct team of 5. This is a commercially focused yet hands-on role where you will be taking ownership of the management accounting for the sites. You will be responsible fordriving new processes on the Netsuite system to improve management reporting and commercial decision making.Duties will include:

  • Producing the monthly board pack including overseeing the management accounts for various sites including P&L and balance sheet
  • Month end reporting including variance analysis
  • Liaising and working closely with general managers and various stakeholders within the business
  • Acting as the "goto" person for the financial systems (Netsuite), driving changes to the system to support with the production of meaningful management reports
  • Ownership of the fixed asset register
  • Involvement in the year-end audit process and liaising with auditors
The successful candidate will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA qualified/finalist Accountant. You must have prior experience producing monthly management accounts and be comfortable taking ownership for the month end. Experience liaising with stakeholders is essentialand previous experience improving processes and strong Excel skills are desirable. Experience working for a multi-site business is extremely beneficial but not essential. Excellent communication skills are key to be able to work closely with senior managementacross the business, you must also be proactive, naturally curious and able to work in a fast-paced environment.In return for your hardwork, you will be rewarded with an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in a dynamic, fast growth business.
