Job Description

My client, a listed Media company, are actively seeking a strong Management Accountant to cover a 12 month maternity leave on a fixed-term-contract basis.With a team of three Management Accountants, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely production, analysis and communication of all management information related to the businesses brands. This includes ensuring the consistency of informationand compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Your role will include formal standardised reporting as well as ad-hoc reports and information required by the business.Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts
  • Monthly transactional posting of financial information relating to specific brands
  • Full monthly P&L review ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Full monthly reconciliation of working capital balance sheet accounts including accrued income, accrued expenses, deferred income and prepaid expenditure.
  • Analysis and understanding of actual results against prior year, budget and forecast
  • Assisting the Commercial Finance Managers (CFMs) with weekly and monthly reporting including forward bookings reports and other financial and KPI information
  • Assisting the CFMs with the accurate and timely preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in line with the agreed timetable
  • Ensuring that financial information complies with IFRS and can be externally audited without adjustments
  • Manage capitalisation of fixed assets and monthly depreciation postings
  • Assisting with interim and year-end audit queries from external auditors
This is a 9:00-17:30 role with hybrid working (2 days office based) paying £45,000 - £55,000.Requirements
  • Part-Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Experience preparing a full set of management accounts
  • Accruals, prepayments and FP&A experience
  • Ideally from a media sector
