Salary: SC4 £22,995 - £24,258 per annumContract Type: Full-time, PermanentClosing Date: Sunday 30th January 2022About the RoleHaringeys Highways service has experienced significant growth as a result of the Councils 10-year capital strategy, the extensive regeneration agenda and the related requirement to deliver high-quality infrastructure improvements. Following arecent reorganisation to increase capacity aiding the delivery of 1st class service, we are recruiting a Maintenance Technician.Our Parking Maintenance team needs a reliable Maintenance Technician who will undertake routine repairs and maintenance of parking and traffic restriction lines and signs, and when required liaise with contractors. Other focus areas will include undertakingthe erection and taking down of suspension boards and those relating to temporary traffic orders.About YouYou will be someone with the ability to work on the street independently with limited supervision. You will have excellent knowledge of the borough as well as knowledge and understanding of parking controls and the need for accuracy in associated signage androad markings. You will have experience of instructing contractors by means of works ordering systems and the provision of CAD drawings. You will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and in writing and be a trustworthy and reliable team player.
