Maintenance TechnicianWorking Monday to Friday currently, but the hours are changing in the future to 5 days on 2 days off to include weekends.Established in 1984, My client are the largest British privately owned international freight and logistics company in the UK. We are experts in all major Global trade markets andspecialists in Europe, China, South East Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent.They are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain our building, services, and equipment they will be responsible for day to day maintenance tasks, ensuring the Companys facilities provide a safe, secure clean and well-maintained environment.This role will be based at our new Felixstowe Depot.ResponsibilitiesConducting basic repairs and checks on automated Warehouse systems.Responding to emergency requests across the site where building maintenance activity is required.Attending equipment breakdowns and working with the team to get production operational in the shortest possible timescaleManaging contractors on Uniserve sites using the contractor control processUsing online Maintenance systems for logging jobsEnsuring all work is carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in line with Uniserves Health & Safety policyUndertaking statutory inspections and checks of assets, including Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature, Fire Doors, Plumbing, etc.Carrying out PAT testingProblem solving and fault findingWorking at HeightMobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP) operationConducting other building maintenance and gardening tasks as required such as:Changing light bulbsPainting and decoratingBasic plumbing, including unblocking sinks, toilets, and drainageBasic JoineryBasic electrical maintenanceConducting repairs on doors and roller shuttersRepairing suspended ceilingsGrounds MaintenanceMaintaining clear pathways during ice and snowEssential Skills and ExperienceQualifications in a trade are preferred but not essentialGood customer serviceIT literateDriven and self-motivatedProactive problem-solving capabilityFlexibility and adaptabilityAble to work to deadlines and meet targetsExcellent communication skillsTeam Player
