Job Description

Morgan Hunt are recruiting for an Maintenance Carpenter to work with an NHS in South East London on a Temporary basis. The details of the job are below:Maintenance CarpenterHours: Full-time 37.5 hours 8am to 4pm Mon - FriPay Rate: £16 to £18 per hour LtdLocation: South East LondonDuration: 3 months on going contractJob Purpose:

  • General carpentry works to flooring, walls, ceilings, glazing, skirting, window frames, door linings, doors, staircases, fitted furniture, cabinetry, shelving etc.
  • General carpentry works including, installing, adjusting repairing and replacing carpentry associated parts, materials and equipment.
  • General carpentry works to fitted fixtures including door handles, door locks etc.
  • Ability to correctly select woodworking and building related materials for use as necessary.
  • Ability to use a variety of power tools and battery tools including skill saw, mitre saw, jigsaw etc.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to erect and work from ladders and scaffold towers.
  • Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to facilitate required works.
  • Preparing and protecting working environment with dust sheets, plastic sheeting, protective floor coverings etc.
  • Cleaning of environment, replacing fixtures and fittings, furniture and equipment when project is complete.
  • Safe use of tools, materials and equipment required to complete identified project works adhering to all health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to liaise with staff or other contractors involved with project works.
  • Physically strong - capable of working with heavy materials, tools, parts or equipment as required within the project works.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
