Job Description

M&E Design Manager£75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Private Health Care + PackageNorth East London Design managers from a building service or industrial background will enjoy leading the development of a new innovative data centre campus. Lead the design and technical operations, manage and deliver multiple projects, be part of a rapidly expanding business in the robust and buoyant world of data centres. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape growth, whilst working a varied position, giving you a platform to become an industry recognised specialist.This ambitious company is a young and emerging data centre co location provider. With innovation at the heart of the companys ethos, they are building an advanced fully renewable campus. Join this pioneering firm, and lead the technical advance whilst progressing within the company.Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the CTO, develop and lead the design, from inception to commissioning of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure
  • Project manage and deliver pre - construction through to post construction
  • Providing innovative design solutions for DC infrastructure, with consideration of procurement and programme
  • Technical presentations and walk rounds with stake holders and perspective clients
  • Working with consultancies advising on design, costings and programme
  • Working with and attending meeting with consultancies, contractor, sub contactors internal team, providing technical instruction and time programmes
    • Background Required
  • Chartered (or working towards) M&E design manager
  • Background from data centres ideally (or building services or industrial)
  • Strong design experience
  • Experience of leading design projects, from cradle to grave
  • Experience of working with various external partners (contractors, consultancies, etc)
  • Background of project delivery
  • Degree qualified in electrical, mechanical or building services
