Logistics CoordinatorFurniture Design£30-£33kNorth LondonA growing, high-end furniture design business, who focus on vintage and Scandinavian furniture designs, are looking to hire a logistics coordinator to join their operations team to help support their business. This is a pivotal role for them and a time ofsignificant growth, so it is an exciting time to join them and an opportunity to make the role your own.This is an office-based role in North London (with some flexibility)The duties are as follows:Liaising with Clients to book in their deliveriesManaging logistics subcontractors, booking couriers and freight forwardersObtaining quotes for international shipping, sea and air freightManaging the collection and crating of orders before shipmentBriefing the warehouse to ensuring orders are packed and ready for despatch when neededPreparation of all shipping documentation to ensure customs compliance, e.g. Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing List, Lacey Act DeclarationsAssisting customers with import/export issuesResolving delivery delays and issues with freight forwardersMaterial sample despatch - Managing Import of goods and materials from US and EUAn ideal candidate will have: Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloadKnowledge of Import/Export process and documentationExcellent verbal and written communicationPC literate - Word, Excel, Outlook, databasesAbility to work in a fast paced environmentA positive attitude with the ability to make things happen is a mustExperience of working within design, or another similar creative environmentIf you have all of the above skills and experience and live near to North London, please submit your CV.
