Prospectus is delighted to be partnering RefuAid, an ambitious charity based in London who supports refugees and asylum seekers all over the UK to access higher education, requalification and employment. Their core three programmes; Language A Gateway, EqualAccess Loan, and Employment Support work together to support their clients on their journey from arriving in the UK into meaningful employment. As the demand for their services is on the rise, they are looking to recruit a Loan Programme Caseworker to supporta caseload of clients to access their equal access loan programme.RefuAid launched the first and only nationwide loan scheme for Refugees in 2017. The loan scheme provides support to those who have been granted refugee status and have full rights to remain and work in the UK. Reporting to their Loan Lead, you will workwith a caseload of internationally trained refugees to access their character-based loan programme that enables them to pay for UK accreditation, re-qualification and training that allows clients to return to their prior professional skills. Working with clientson an on-going basis, you will build supportive rapports with your allocated cases, whilst offering support in processing applications, preparation for loan interviews, administration, client casework, and supporting relationships with professional bodies.To be considered you will possess strong communication skills, combined with the ability to develop and sustain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Personal lived experienced of facing challenging times would be advantageous,as is a background in a position that offers insight into the difficulties and barriers faced by individuals when in crisis.
