Linux/HPC Systems Administrator***Remote working contract role***1-3 Months***Possible Temp-Perm***Our client are based in London and recruiting for a Linux Systems Administrator. You will provide support for CentOS, Linux HPC system comprising of powerful hardware accelerators such as GPUs. You will encounter and solve unique problems associated with complex Linux HPC environment so as to ensure reliability, availability and optimal computational performance of the HPC system.-Proactively manage, monitor and resolve day to day operational issues to maximise uptime and availability of HPC system-Analyse HPC system computational performance, investigate and resolve performance issues-Develop scripts to automate tasks or tools to enhance support of HPC systemsRequirements -Systems administration of Linux (CentOS) operating systems-Knowledge of scripting languages like bash and python-Knowledge of Jupyter / Notebooks and RStudio-Experience in configuring and managing portable batch and interactive services (PBS, SSH) and other HPC software management tools-Knowledge of networking, security practices and user management-Managing software packages and assisting with troubleshooting of bespoke packages-Knowledge of one or more HPC platforms such as Fujitsu, Dell, SGI, XMA and associated high performance storage technologies (InfiniBand) and file based technologies including; CIF, GPFS, NFS
