About The Role Were looking for a Technical Specialist - Linux and Unix Administrator to provide a deep level of technical knowledge and own a complex production of incidents, as well as collaborating with other technical teams to troubleshoot and ensurecomplete resolutions. Youll be expected to run small projects to resolve ITIL defined service problems and allocate tasks to colleagues and ensure the completion of work to an agreed quality, timescale and criteria. Youll continually asses ways of workingin order to develop or revise artefacts and processes that improve team efficiency and effectiveness. About You Key SkillsUNIX (Solaris 10 & 11) and Layered Product Administration and TuningLinux (Red Hat Enterprise 6 & 7) Administration and Tuning Storage Technologies such as ZFS, EXT, Veritas Volume Manager and Solaris Volume Manager Other essential information:Available for out-of-hours support, on a rota basis.Able to work under pressure.Thorough, with a good attention to detail. Flexibleapproach to working hours to meet own objectives and assist colleagues in meeting their objectives. Internally this role is known as Technical Specialist - IT Service.
