Learning Support AdministratorHighbury CollegeCosham campus and North Harbour campus£4.60 per hour - Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, one hour lunch, 37.5 hours a weekHighbury College has developed an ambitious and challenging vision for a 21st Century College. An influential organisation, recognised for excellence locally, nationally and internationally.At the heart of this vision is the College mission which is to enable all our students to succeed.The Learning Support Administrator is responsible to the Foundations Administration Co-ordinator offering high quality administration support to the Learning Support team in order to enable the College to meet the above broad objectives. Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance.Main duties and responsibilities of the post:Provide a high level of administrative support including: Maintaining panel data, arranging appointments, and preparing for meeting and events. Typing correspondence and preparing reports as requested Taking minutes of cross college meetings as required and ensuring the distribution of said minutes. Maintaining an effective filing system, paper based and electronic, ensuring confidentiality where necessary. Inputting of data to Pro Monitor. To maintain procedural records and the collation of student and staff tracking documentation To assist with the planning of effective and efficient assessment of the students with learning difficulties and disabilities prior to interview for mainstream and discrete programmes and to carry out verification of these assessments. To be involved with staff development programmes as appropriate. Undertaking other duties, at the request of the Administration Co-ordinatorThis list is not exhaustive but is a comprehensive indication of responsibilities.Skills Well-developed organisational, communication, independent and teamwork skills. Data entry accuracy Time management.Personal Qualities Ability to meet targets and deadlines. Reporting to the Administration Co-ordinator, the post holder must be self-motivated and capable of creativity and innovation.QualificationsGCSE A*-C/9-4 in English, Maths and ICT or Functional Skills Level 2.Course planThis role is work based learning meaning there is no college attendance, you will be assessed every 4-6 weeks in the workplace and will have sufficient time each week to complete any learning needed.Future planUpon successful completion of the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship you can progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship, should you want to progress your career development further. People completing Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships with Highbury College have gone on to study higher qualifications such as degrees, been promoted in their company to roles with more responsibility and within a short period of time.There is the opportunity to be offered a job within Highbury College after the apprenticeship if completed to a satisfactory level.
