Job Description

Main purpose of job:Qualified candidates should have 4 - 6 years PQE of contract drafting experience. Experience with energy, construction, or infrastructure law required with EPC/regulatory (grid/permitting) contract experience preferred. Candidates should possess strong interpersonalskills and the ability to interact with others in a small team. Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently. Licensed to practice in U.K with U.S. Qualifications a plus.Responsibilities, duties and tasks:

  • Work closely with commercial managers to draft and negotiate engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements and annexes, operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements, asset management agreements (PPAs), ICP and supply agreements for energy storageprojects
  • Support legal director to structure and negotiate energy storage asset purchases, supervising acquisition completion process
  • Work closely with compliance and finance managers to fulfil public reporting obligations
Person SpecificationQualifications/Training:It is essential that the post holder has:
  • Able to practice in England & Wales
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience
  • 4+ years PQE in commercial contracting
  • 4+ years PQE in renewable energy, permitting, construction or infrastructure
Experience/Knowledge:It is essential that the post holder has:
  • Have trained at a reputable law firm or within the in-house team of a reputable energy, construction, power or infrastructure company
  • In house experience within a Publicly Listed Company would is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working independently and cross-functionally
Skills And Abilities It is essential that the post holder has:
  • Appreciation of commercial objectives when providing legal advice
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey legal advice in a succinct and actionable format
  • An ability to manage a complex and diverse workload under tight deadlines.
  • High interpersonal skills; team oriented and collaborative
  • Comfortable taking instruction and ability to work independently
