Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on the role of Legal Cashier for an exciting firm based in Edinburgh. The client is at the heart of everything they do, ensuring the highest level of service is provided. The Role The role of Legal Cashier is an integral part of this businesss busy finance function. This fast-paced team is looking for someone with experience of working in a similar role who will be able to come in and hit the ground running. To be considered for this opportunity you must have at least two years practical finance experience, preferably in the legal sector. On Offer The role of Legal Cashier will offer a salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum a competitive benefits package. The role will begin as remote/home working for the foreseeable future and all the necessary equipment will be provided for a swift & professional remote onboarding. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Setting up all payment types (BACS, CHAPS etc) on banking platforms ensuring coherence with AML regulation Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts Credit Control Partnering with departmental heads & fee earners on client accounts including balances, work in progress and debtor balances Monthly billing including drafting & processing fees, amendments of fees, credit notes and working closely with the credit control function Reviewing banking transactions Production and distribution of periodic & adhoc reports Induction and on-boarding of new clients Adherence with internal and external regulations Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders Adhoc duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: A minimum of 2 years practical finance experience Experience of operating within the legal sector SOLAS qualification or working towards (desirable) Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact Jack Ramage for a private & confidential discussion regarding this excellent opportunity.
