Learning & Talent consultant£21/25 per hour3 Month Temp ContractService:, Talent & InclusionTeam: People and TalentReports to:Strategic Head of People & TalentIn People & Talent we are all about creating the best environment for people to work and achieve.The People and Talent team will drive and own a significant number of key initiatives to change and embed an outstanding and inclusive employee experience and development programme with digital transformation at the heart of our approach.Starting right at the point of attraction, the team will design and deliver initiatives to ensure an exceptional, inclusive and where appropriate digital employee experience.Your key targets in this area will be exceptional feedback from candidates and managers about the learning & talent experience.The team will be responsible for delivering key engagement and inclusive experience programmes for leaders and managers, professional development, talent programmes and developing opportunities for progression and growth within this leading Council situated in West LondonTaking the whole range of employment engagement drivers, the team will focus on creating the right environment for staff to succeed at work. Employee voice will be a key measure of how successful this team is.Ultimately, this team will have in place the key strategies, interventions and activities that will make this leading Council the best council to work for. This will only be achieved through our staff views and resident perceptions.ROLE PURPOSEAs the learning & talent consultant you will be responsible for supporting a small team dedicated to and passionate about exceptional and inclusive employee learning and development experiences. Digital transformation is a key enabler along with embedding across the organisation supportive and coaching management styles that gets the most out of our teams.To support with the development of learning interventions and products which are designed in partnership with services across the council and which are constantly reviewed for effectiveness. The ability to work collaboratively and take people with you during periods of change is vital.You will know what good and great looks like in terms of digital transformation, talent management and employee experience. You will bring your knowledge of how to deliver innovative and creative solutions to make step-changes in our employee offer particularly in relation to digital transformation.You will bring an edge to our employee development experience, demonstrating innovative and exciting approaches to our work and challenging the status quo. You wont be afraid to try new things, with the knowledge and experience you already have.Key deliverablesResponsible for supporting the councils strategic learning and talent offer:" Supporting the delivery of our transformational learning and talent offer including digital transformation, the development of a performance management system, learning needs analysis, induction, probation, mandatory training, buddying, mentoring and coaching.Key objectives" To enable the delivery of our digital transformation agenda across the Council through innovative digital training, learning and development initiatives that meet customer need." Improve the current e-learning offer to managers and staff in line with the Councils business plan priorities." Increase employee engagement and voice as a result of improving the employee experience from induction through to exit; from brilliant onboarding solutions through to career and personal development pathways." Accreditation solutions for key employee voice and network programmes" Succession planning for key roles and targeted management development" Supporting and facilitating the delivery of regular employee voice surveys, staff recognition events and management development conferences.Attitude MattersYour skills and ability are important however, we recruit as much for attitude as we do experience.
