Lead VR Developer - Online Gaming, Canary Wharf, London, £75-95K + 10% bonus + £5.4K Car Allowance + bens. You must be an experienced Lead Developer with experience of leading Agile, high quality Unreal Engine 4 developers. You should have extensive experience of 3D engine development using Unreal Engine 4 and developing optimized plugins in C++. Preferred background in Online Gaming. The role will be leading the development and technical delivery of VR and browser-based pixel streamed capabilities within the companys software development team.You will:*Lead our VR and pixel streaming application team to develop and maintain VR and pixel streamed 3D applications.*Deliver optimised modules covering data visualisation (LiDAR, BIM and various 3D model and geospatial data format), hardware device input (desktop and various VR input methods), and network server/clients.*Apply VR and desktop gameplay mechanics to corporate applicationsExperience / background*Extensive experience of 3D engine development ex in Unreal Engine 4*Extensive experience of developing optimized plugins in C++.*Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, 3D Math, linear algebra vector math and associated data structures.*Expert knowledge of Unreal including GUI, asset bundles and materials/shaders.*Strong knowledge in 3D graphics development (Particle Systems, Shaders) and performance optimization within game development*Knowledge of matrix algebra, trigonometry and computational geometry.*Ability to implement existing script and/or visual scripting modules into optimized and economic code within Unity and/or Unreal.*Strong knowledge of version control system such as perforce.Desirable:*UE4 Blueprints visual scripting *Xbox Live experience*Azure infrastructure *AWS data infrastructure Previous work with an offshore software development teamThis lead VR Developer - Online Gaming position is based in Canary Wharf but can be mainly remote working with just 1-2 days in the office.
