Lead UI Developer - React/Angular sought by leading financial services organisation based in central London/remote. Key Accountabilities Create new software features that meet the needs of our customers and improve the Digital Platform Produce high quality code that meets internal quality standards, is maintainable and fulfils acceptance criteria Review the code produced by other team members to ensure is fit for purpose Take ownership of technical design discussions and create the right level of documentation Innovate. Be curious about technology and what can be done differently and make proposals, prototypes and contribute to new thinking Deliver value continuously Develop software features incrementally Continuously integrate code changes into working software using the defined CI/CD pipelines Zero defects and short cycle times. Focus on finishing work to the definition of done Propose improvements to the development process to constantly increase the flow of value and maintain quality Be part of great development team Work collaboratively in cross functional teams to develop fully working, tested and deployed software Support more junior members in how to be part of an effective team Communicate progress daily and be clear what help you need and can offer to others Solve problems and ensure the team as a whole delivers Contribute to technical discussions and the maintenance of technical standards Mentor more junior team members Skills and Experience ESSENTIAL Experience in leading other developers to produce software Experience of agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM Experience in CI/CD and the required tools and technology approach Experience in distributed version control systems (e.g. Git). Specific experience is required in either git flow or trunk based development Understanding of secure coding and cloud platform security Understanding of design and architecture patterns and development principles Highly skilled at client-side scripting (ES6+, TypeScript) and at least one JavaScript framework (preferably Angular or React) Strong expertise writing semantic, accessible, modular front end code using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices Experience with JavaScript testing tools and frameworks Experience with build tools such as Webpack/Grunt Experience with microfrontends DESIRABLE Experience in FinTech businesses Experience in consumer lending or Credit Card issuing Experience in managing technology operations, especially devops Consulting experience in digital strategy, user Experience and/or interaction design R&D and technology innovation Experience of working with PaaS based architectures, ideally Azure, including full automation of builds and deployment Please apply within for further details or call on Alex Reeder Harvey Nash Finance & Banking
