Our clients share our appetite for innovation, and a thirst to push the boundariesof what is technically possible to meet their business goals.See marionete.co.uk*About the role:*Marionete is seeking the talents of a seasoned professional with experience in Leading and/or participating as a Senior Cloud Engineering Team focused on GoogleCloud Platform (GCP) implementation.Our project team are currently starting a greenfield innovation programme of work for one of the worlds largest banking institutions.The team will be focused upon delivering mission-critical solutions for this tier-onefinancial institution, we now are looking to bolster our existing team with the expertise of an experienced Lead/Senior Engineer.Our client is a leading banking institution that is building and migrating to a new ecosystem in the cloud. the role sits as partof the core data and digital transformation team that is supporting a large infrastructure group workingon this programme.*About you:*Are you a passionate Cloud Engineer who has experience of delivering robust technical solutions while leading or participatingas a Senior Engineerwithin innovation projects aligned to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) on behalf of customers within the Financial Service MarketDo you have deep technical know-how and hands-on experience implementing various practices and tools and patternsof technology Are you able to provide strong evidence of deploying and engineering Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutionsAre you interested in promoting the best of breed open-source tooling, patterns of technology and to work one of the worlds largest bankingbrands delivering Cloud Native and Solid Data Foundations*Responsibilities:*As Lead/Senior Cloud Engineer you will work with and lead both the Marionete teams and also the teams managed by the end client.You will interact daily with developers, architectsand engineers along with other IT staff to oversee the quality of work and aid the project to reach key milestones, You will combine all of your understanding of both engineering, coding and Technical architecture to benefit the project.As Lead/Senior CloudEngineer, youll have to build out engineering capability organisations. Strengthen both DevOps engineering capability on this project lead from the front in terms of delivering robust networking, connectivity for infrastructure and platform Operations. Havea strong way of working aligned to innovative Site Reliability Engineering or (SRE) principles.You will work as part of a brilliant team, leading them in the delivery of excellent services and innovative solutions on behalf of Marionete.*Objectives:*Assistin the development of secure and scalable automated solutions and provide hands-on technical engineering capability to support the implementation of brand-new Google Cloud Platform service.Work towards implementing new and innovative patterns for technology,encompassing real-time, event-driven microservices, data mesh and service mesh solutions.Approach the challenge with a problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit to identify technical debt/problems, potential improvements manage expectations anddeliver outcomes sought by our leadership team.*Skills:**Proficiency within:** Building technical solutions in the cloud Specifically for GCP* Experience in Infrastructure for GCP and aligned open-source technology such as Kubernetes, specifically proficientin GKE or K8 (strong Administration Skills)* Strong Kubernetes Application Design & Development experience GKE or K8* Deep expertise in security for these types of platforms* Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Scala and or otherJVM languages.* Experience in delivering end to end large scale programmes***Strong experience in:** Infrastructure engineering* Technical solutions architecture design and delivery* Development and Coding Java* TDD* Code review* Infrastructure as code* Kubernetes*GCP* GKE* Data and Development and Automation* Leading teams* On Prem migrations to Cloud* Cloud native principles***Preferred experience in:** Kafka Development and Ops* Data Fabric, Data Mesh concepts* Micro-Services, Service Mesh, concepts* Mongo DB* CI/CD*SRE* Test Automation and K8* Kong Gateway and Mesh* It is preferable to have certifications in any of the following subjects* GCP and GKE, acceptable certifications are Google Cloud Architect* Google Cloud Developer* Google Cloud DevOps Engineer* Google CloudSecurity Engineer* Google Cloud Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)* Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)* Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKAD)-* Health Insurance* Mac* Hybrid/remote* Flexi-working* Free fruit* Coffee*Casual dress code* HR Screening* Tech Interview* Board InterviewGCP, Kubernetes, Java, CI/CDGCP, Kubernetes, Java, Kafka, Microservices, MongoDB, CI/CD
