We offer flexible working hours around the 9-5 and are a very family friend company.About the roleThe Content, Analytics and API lab at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) are searching for a QE lead with a passion for making a difference to drive the team through a large digital transformation. This role will involve combining technical, thought and leadershipskills to drive the Test and QE strategy and adoption across our platforms ranging from CMS systems through to Cloud based API management systems and mentoring and line-managing more junior QEs within the team.Youll work with the heads of department in a critical Lab within the Bank responsible for key high value technologies, to develop solutions that support a consistent approach for delivering our Test and QE strategy.Our commitment to embracing the latest technology means we are looking for an engineer that is keen to tackle the challenge of implementing on a multi-cloud, multi-vendor environment, bringing your experience of how QE fits in to ensure high quality in whereverwe deploy, while meeting our exacting governance processes.About youWe encourage applications from a range of backgrounds. However, to be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the below as a minimum:Technical
  • In depth knowledge of cyber security, performance testing, functional and non-functional testing with the ability to employ scripting and automation whenever possible (Java, JavaScript automation tests using Cypress, Selenium,webdriver.io, CucumberBDD or other automated test solutions, API Testing tools).
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and infrastructure with experience in at least one of the main 3 cloud providers (ideally Azure or GCP).
  • Experience in testing API based journeys (NodeJS) and exposure an API Gateway system such as Apigee/IBM APIC or similar

  • Previous experience in collaborating using Agile framework methodologies, to optimise team development process and give rapid feedback working iteratively.
  • Ability to be generous with your knowledge and be able to lead, mentor, develop and train individuals lifting the Lab as a whole.
