A remote, UK Wide role for a Lead Python Engineer from a high-data call, Python production background. A well-funded and revenue generative Insurance Tech start-up are offering a competitive salary and equity stake, they want you to create a radical new insurance platform for modelling and pricing. Insurance experience not necessary, just high-availability, high-data through-put .com, retail, social media, travel, Fintech or similar scale website backgrounds using Python data libraries for maximum performance. You choose which.As Lead Python Engineer, you’ll be capable of scratch-building a scalable, high-end solution that provides Pricing as a Service to global customers. You’ll be building a Rating Engine in Open-Source that can handle millions of data calls in under 3 seconds. You’ll have the hands-on technical, entrepreneurial and leadership edge that will implement their technical estate from scratch. You’ll subsequently hire a team of 3 in the near term (Python, DB and UI Devs).Salary: £95k - £110k plus significant equity + govt pensionLocation: UK Wide, fully remote save for monthly meetings (expensed).The Lead Python Engineer will build the system, working with leading Insurance-based Data Science and industry experts to get data from A to B quickly, under high load.
