Job Description

Salary - £110,000 base + Benefits & Annual BonusLead Network Operations Engineer (Trading & eCommerce)My client, a global Investment bank based in London, are seeking a Lead Network Operations Engineer with strong eCommerce experience and Trading Network design skills to join their team on a permanent basis.As a Lead Network Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the groups business strategy, identify & recommend new products or technology that can add value to the organisation and align to the Network strategic goals.You will work with Security Technology Services to ensure the Network architecture design/solutions meet the banks security standards. Develop RFPs/RFIs, oversee product evaluations, coordinate product selections, ensuring pricing meets the bank IT standards.The Role Responsibilities

  • Awareness and understanding of the Groups business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
  • Identify & recommend new products or technology that can add value to the organisation and align to the network strategic goals
  • As a critical technology service for the bank, ensure the Network Services Architecture design has high availability to remain stable and performing optimally
  • Ensure that Network Engineering complies with the Technology Services processes within the Architecture Framework
  • Work with Security Technology Services to ensure Network Services architecture design/solutions can meet bank security standards.
  • Develop RFPs/RFIs, oversee product evaluations, coordinate product selections, ensuring pricing, terms and conditions meet bank IT standards
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within Network Services Operations
    • Key Skills and Experience
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent
  • eCommerce experience
  • Trading Network design skills
  • Low Latency Switching Network
  • WAN Routing and Multicast
  • PTP & Packet Monitoring with TAP aggregator
  • Load Balancer
  • FIX Protocol
  • Data Centre Design & Implementation
  • Network Security
  • Cloud connectivity
  • Investment banking background would be highly desirable
