Job Description

Lead Manufacturing Solution Architect- Remote-6 Months- £600-£700 Inside IR35The Lead Manufacturing Solution Architect is to undertake architectural leadership to drive the successful delivery of global and project specific manufacturing architectures. The manufacturing domain is vital to meet business ambitions across its servicesbusinesses. The Lead Architect will support multiple change programmes across businesses and regions simultaneously; present solutions to close gaps and provide technical implementation assurance as necessary.Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused architecture leadership to ensure that the end-to-end processes and the underpinning technologies, systems and services that support them meet customer needs and are cost-effective to implement and affordable to maintain.
  • Own, continuously review and update the Manufacturing architecture backlog.
  • Oversee and manage the manufacturing service delivery across the portfolio, ensuring all projects have an architecture point of contact.
  • Ensure resources are assigned and aligned to projects based on value to the business.
  • Create and update Manufacturing Architecture Documents (i.e. Project High-level Designs, Low-level Designs, re-usable Solution building blocks).
  • Support the creation and updating of Reference Architectures, Standards, Architecture Principles and Policies as required.
  • Engage with senior leadership across the Business to facilitate and lead Manufacturing architecture discussions and decisions.
  • Oversee and coordinate delivery of the Manufacturing Solution Architecture As A Service offering to provide scalable services as required. Provide leadership and direction where required to independent contractors augmenting the service.
  • Lead and influence the wider manufacturing and architecture teams and subject matter experts.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of future manufacturing solution architecture resources to ensure business continuity and service levels meet standards required.
Skills/ Experience:
  • Experience Architecting and successfully deploying Global solutions in complex environments
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience with system integration with SAP, Infor MES, Labware LIMS, and TrakSYS MES
  • Ability to build consensus on proposed technical solutions across a wide range of technologies
  • Relevant recent experience as an IT architect in a large multi-national organization
  • Ability to speak with senior business leaders in their language and gain respect in their teams
  • IT Security knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of existing, new and emerging technologies and being able to practically apply them to new business designs and business models
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects
  • Familiar with Agile, Prince2 or PMP Project Management methodologies
  • Experience working within Global Manufacturing company
  • ITIL and service management experience
  • Experience leading multi-disciplined, high-performance work teams
